The Mission of the Abilene Philharmonic Guild 

is to support and promote the Abilene Philharmonic Orchestra.

You Are Invited...

To Join the Abilene Philharmonic Guild! Membership in the Guild supports and promotes the interest and growth of the Abilene Philharmonic Orchestra.  Guild Membership dues are $50.00 and purchase of a Philharmonic Season Ticket

  • The Guild meets 9 times a year, September-May, to enjoy performance by local musical talent, share news of upcoming concerts, fellowship, and a light meal.

  • Guild volunteers coordinate school student seating for the Philharmonic Discover Music Series concerts.

  • The Guild hosts the Philharmonic Ball, its major annual fudraiser.

  • Parents of 7th grade students are encouraged to join.  Their student will have the first opportunity to join the Belles and Beaus Program.

  • Belles and Beaus serve as ushers for the Philharmnic concerts.  This 5-year service program is recognized by the Texas Governor and can be valuable for college entrance applications.

 

 

 Projects 

  • Fundraising Annual Ball and Brunch

  • Education Annual Student Concerts

  • Service "Belles & Beaus," Concert ushers, presentation, and Guild projects

Membership of this organization is open to any person interested in the promotion of the Abilene Philharmonic Orchestra.

Requirements

  • Payment of annual financial obligation

  • Purchase of at least one season ticket to the Abilene Philharmonic Orchestra

  • Support of Fundraising projects, especially the Philharmonic Ball

  • New members who join the Guild during the year shall pay their dues at the time they join (new members are welcomed throughout the year)

  • Meetings are held on the second Monday of each month September through May
